Moving Into a New Year

So it’s 2015. The celebrations came and went, cheers rang out, bubbly was popped, we threw some glitter and poof! Russell Herder is now in a new office space.

For anyone who has ever experienced a location change in their company, you know this is EXACTLY how it goes. Just close your eyes, a bit of a rumble and a tumble and you’re there! No big deal, right? No matter how we got here though, we are fresh and keen for 2015 to kick off in our new space.

Where have we landed? International Market Square. If you’re local to the area, you’ll recognize IMS from perhaps its proximity to the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market, its unique listing of design and interiors vendors, its historic flare or maybe even its crazy New Year’s Eve parties. Built in 1905, IMS was modeled after the San Francisco Design Center and houses over 170 design firms, showrooms and businesses. We’ve already even encountered the building’s rumored ghost named Basil (he may or may not have stopped by and initiated our account team with some spooking).

The beginning of the year of course prompts us all to not only reflect, but also decide on what maybe was ready for change. You’ll notice for us that not only included our space, but our logo, too! I tend to be one of those strange folks who typically really appreciate change. Although it can be painful, exposing ourselves to changes allows us to continue to be adaptable and require a fresh perspective. It pushes us to not get stuck in our ways, but remember that the world is bigger, there are always other options, and believe it or not, we don’t always know everything. I mean sometimes. Maybe once a year. When I choose the wrong soup for lunch.

But in all honesty, coming from a fellow learner at heart, I’m excited for the New Year! And thankful to be kicking it off with such a great team here at RH. Because let’s face it – changes are always a little easier when you’ve got great people to walk through it with you.

Happy New Year from our team to yours!

Oh, and if you need our new address, it’s here.
